Touring & Camping
Questions about arriving, pitches or park rules? See the Polstead FAQs.
Polstead Country Park is a boutique, adults-only touring site in the Suffolk countryside, on the edge of a conservation area and about a mile from Polstead village. It’s a quiet base for walking and cycling, with paths through ancient woodland and county wildlife sites close by.
This is Constable country: Flatford Mill and the Dedham Vale are a short drive away, as are Lavenham, often called Britain’s best-preserved medieval village, and Long Melford, the main location for TV’s Lovejoy. Sudbury and Hadleigh have shops, pubs and restaurants, and local vineyards offer tours and tastings. On site there’s a modern toilet block, a laundry, a wash-up area and accessible facilities, with hard-standing pitches for caravans and motorhomes and grass pitches for tents.
Arriving and leaving: check-in is from 2pm and check-out by 12 noon. Early check-in from 10am and late check-out until 4pm are £10 each, subject to availability: just ask at reception on the day. Quiet time starts at 11pm.
Dogs: welcome. Your own dogs only, up to two per pitch, on a short lead at all times (£2 per dog). Dogs aren’t allowed in play areas or park buildings, please clean up after them, and banned breeds, including XL Bully types, are not allowed.
