About Us
Discover Gatehouse Wood Country Park, an idyllic family-friendly retreat nestled in Sevenoaks within the picturesque Garden of England. Set amidst lush forests and historic woodlands, this tranquil holiday destination offers a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Established in 1990, Gatehouse Wood consistently delivers exceptional touring and camping experiences, much like its affiliated parks within the same group. Its commitment to excellence shines through glowing reviews and prestigious accolades.
The park is located just off the A20 at the bottom of Wrotham Hill, which makes this an excellent location to access both London routes as well as Dover Channel directions. Gatehouse Wood Country Park benefits from some of Kent’s driest weathers and was called the “suntrap” for many generations. It is only 2miles from the next local village Borough Green, offering trains to London, supermarkets, pharmacy, hair dresser, pets DIY shops, Costa Coffee, restaurants, a medical practice and a five-star luxury adults-only Gym & Spa Retreat. For those with a hobby, the London Golf Club is 5.4miles away and the Brands Hatch Race circuit is 6.5miles from Gatehouse Wood.
And from September 24, we will open in cooperation with the Three Sisters, a coffee shop and bakery on site!
Things to Do
Gate House Wood is perfectly located for exploring Kent’s diverse and beautiful landscape. The Garden of England has something for everyone: coastal beaches, breathtaking countryside, medieval towns, historic castles, seaside resorts, international shopping, a thriving arts scene and a rich cultural history – Kent has more castles, stately homes and gardens open to the public than any other region in Britain.
